First, I learned something soooo cool last night while getting a wedding gift at Bed Bath & Beyond. My boy Brant (a name I actually really like) at BB&B asked if I wanted the gift wrapped. I was like sure - one less thing for me to do. So he puts a piece of Scotch tape over the price tag that is stuck to the box of silverware. I'm thinking you goob I want that price tag off NOT stay on there better and THEN the magic happens - he pulls up the tape really fast and it takes the top layer of the price tag off. I'm in total AWWW !!!!!!!!!!!! The price comes off, now he looks at me like I'm a total dork at this point b/c I go on and on about how cool that was and I usually sit there and pick it off and IF it actually does come off then the box sometimes rips or something. (I seriously think he rolled his eyes) Brant made sure I totally understood though that there will still be a white box, but the price is at least gone. Just had to share my new wisdom - now if you all write and tell me you already knew about this trick that some high school kid had to show me then I'm gonna feel real stupid so just don't tell me if you already knew about it!! :)
Next, we had a great time in Gatlinburg. It was of course not long enough but we had a good time nonetheless. Our cabin was awesome - (we had to get a big one b/c there were 12 of us). It had a movie theatre room in it and everything - sooo cool and decorated super funky as you can see in the pic. I'm not so sure that red leather and artsy sea shell lamps and animal skin go but we liked the place for sure.
My kids are still super cute - surprise surprise and of course I'm still gushing about them.
I'm still really slow on the scrapping lately - ugg - BUT I'm going to an all day crop on Sat with Heather so I'm really hoping I get a lot done. (My new definition of a lot nowadays is more than 1 page -Heather, Amy, Tracy, and Bethany know my problem since we tried to scrap recently- ahem - my BIG OLE MOUTH!!) So... hopefully Heather won't talk to me much on Saturday and I'll get something done - LOL!!!!
The weather is starting to really act like spring and Byron and Cade are planting a garden. Cade thinks this is the best thing ever. Last year they planted pumpkins (which didn't make it) and tomatoes which were out of control. This year is going to be tomatoes, pumpkins, cucumbers, watermelon, and who knows what else. I wish they would plant some chocolate or brownies or something.... I'm sure there will plenty of progress pics (mostly b/c I think it would make a cute scrappy LO - HA!)
We have all greatly improved our Rock Band skills! When we first got it Cade could only sing a few songs and would usually get kicked off a lot. Now he sings any song we give him AND is even finishing songs on the guitar and drums. The drums by far are the most difficult to play and I'm just totally impressed. I do believe music is his thing. OH and the best part is my little rocker sings along with every song WHILE he's playing. Byron says this is a big deal b/c when Byron plays the real guitar he has a really hard time singing AND playing. Maybe some day we'll see my boy on a real stage with a REAL instrument even.
In other ground breaking news: Cory D has been sleeping like a champ!! Not every night, but a lot of them lately she's slept anywhere from 4 - 7 hours!! this is making mommy very happy! AND drum roll.... she's smiling!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the best thing ever. She has always smiled in her sleep but now she's smiling when you talk to her. I still haven't taken a great pic yet but am working on it. Here's some sweet faces she was making at Daddy the other day.

I think that is enough of an update for now see you next week OR so.... and here are the Hoodie Girls - that's my sister in law Ashley. Too bad Corynn is all blurry

Also, didn't know about the tape thing...don't you hate it when teenagers know more than us? Happens all the time in my house..
Okay, so I didn't know about the tape thing either. And I am sure he did not figure it out all by himself...I'm sure a woman told him :o).
Corynn is changing so quickly. Don't you just hate how much faster it goes by with the second.
