1st Game for #2 of the Thundering Herd

He had quite the cheering section (my mom, my sister, my niece, my nephew, Byron's mom, Cory and Byron (he took a few hours off work so he could come to the game - made Cade's day!)
-not that he really needed it.
He has more team spirit than the entire team put together.

I liked that they said a prayer before the game.
He was pretty timid during the game and didn't really get in the mix much,
BUT still managed to touch the ball a few times and even had an assist.

At the end of the game each player receives a colored star for their game play. It is then ironed on to their sleeve for others to see. Cade was given the white star for most Christ-like. I think that means he was never close enough to any of the action to be mean to anyone -LOL! Or maybe it's for team spirit. I really like the Upward League and how they are so into teaching the kids how to play. The refs and coaches were right in the game the whole time to tell them how to play and it wasn't this huge gotta win thing - just let's learn how to play ball! Just what he needs!
AND baby it is COLD!! outside. Byron told me it was 6 degrees this am! He also informed me that it was warmer in Kodiak Alaska (his new dream job location) today than here. Ice on the INSIDE of the window - brrrr!
