Introducing #2 for the Thundering Herd!

So at Thursday's practice they FINALLY handed out THE jerseys!! This boy has waited for HIS number for an eternity (you know like about 3 weeks). Apparently the reversible-ness is a big hit in the 5 year old crowd - he asked me to take a green pic and a white pic. It's quite amusing to watch his team play -the Thundering Herd (what's up with that??) (well just practice so far - first game is in January). There is a lot of diving on the floor to stop a ball and chasing after it across the gym. Not to mention the really CUTE attempts to make a basket. Now, on a serious note I DID almost cry watching on Thursday. It was just one of those moments when you see your baby doing something that big boys do and realize that he's more grown up. I suppose it's also one of those moments that I wasn't sure was going to happen with the shyness/social silliness going on. I was really proud of him. He didn't come over to me during practice except to give me his sweatshirt and even when he got hit in the face once (gotta work on those catching skills buddy) he didn't cry or even look at me. He's coming along - such a good moment for me to see.

Watch out - this is his game face? Scary huh?

I love the green uniform, it is a very good color for Cade. He also has a very professional looking basketball face. Looking forward to the game next month, need time and place.

Marshall University in West Virginia is the Thundering Herd. The movie We Are Marshall is about the football team! Marshall is a fav in our house with Brad's whole family being from there! At least he's not blue!
