December 18th

Today I was struggling with what I was going to write down and this evening I watched the little old neighbor lady be taken out of her house on a stretcher by the EMS. She was sitting up and it wasn't a mad dash and she has had that happen before, something with her heart. So I'd imagine she's ok, but just not great. My point is - I am thankful for my health. I take it for granted. Byron's grandmother has been sick as well and it just makes me realize that when I feel bad it eventually goes away. So many people stay sick or are in pain for a really long time or even worse - forever. I need to appreciate my health more NOW b/c I know down the road I will miss it. Please pray for Ms. Irene and Byron's Granny.

As for a daily pic: We played a silly game with flavored candy canes today. I made him guess what flavors they were and then he got to eat them - wooo - but he loved it. Sort of went along with our Legend of the Candy Cane story.
