Today I am thankful for a fun new Christmas adventure with family! While in Indianapolis we met up with my mom's aunt and uncle. They live in Michigan, but came down to visit and show us the wedding video they took for my sister and her new husband. So we gathered at my aunt's house in Indy to watch that and then headed to the Indy Zoo. It was chilly, but we all had a good time - especially Cade. I even think Cory liked the lights - she kicked her legs and waved her arms as we walked under them so I took that to mean she liked them! They had several fun things set up for the kids - cookies with Mrs. Claus, visit with Santa, a live reindeer, letters to Santa, caroling (my cousin's high school sang in this), a nighttime train ride (which we did but didn't get good pics), and of course you can see the animals. We got there before dark and saw a few animals - the walruses were quite funny and actually moving!
The girls - Natalie is my niece (18 months old)
Cory was OBSESSED with her hair!
The boys - Ethan my nephew and Sam my brother in law.
I think they wore Sam out.
Great Uncle Dick - he is 72 and still snow skis!! I guarantee he's better than me. He was telling us how he made 22 runs in Vail last year in ONE day!! I seriously don't think I can do that!
and couldn't move. Hey - at least she was warm!
My mom helping decorate a cookie.
Cade was a little concerned with his antlers being gone.
The man told us that they lose them every year and that they will grow back.
BTW: Cory is tired of all the chubby comments...
