Decided to paint the dressers we had up there white and I like them so much better and then in one of the cleaning rampages found the turtle album that my sister in law gave me from one of their trips to Hawaii. It was handmade there and in real lighting looks pretty good in the room. The green walls in this pics look like baby peas... lovely!

randomness
There were some really bad storms in our area last night, mostly power outages and trees down but I do think there were some tornadoes as well but overall our area is ok. And since our power never really went out we didn't think to check our basement, however, this am I went down and found a ton of water where the sump pump was broken apparently and never came on. Loveliness!! This pic is AFTER Byron already took all of the carpet out and had the sump pump working enough to drain the rest of the water out. The carpet wasn't ever attached down so when we first went down there it was floating - nice. Anyway... everything is all moved around and is starting to dry but Byron has to go buy a new sump pump and install that this afternoon since the weather isn't looking too fabulous still. Oh well, new project to keep our minds off the "is the baby coming today?" issue. OH and I have decided that between the storms where power went out in places close to the hospital and the basement flooding it IS a good thing Corynn isn't here yet. BUT once that basement gets taken care of we're going to the hospital - HA!
New lovies!! I bought the zebra striped one and a daycare parent gave me the other one. They are both soooo soft and snuggly - glad we have 2 - one for me and one for the baby!
This is the window in Corynn's room - bamboo roman shades and flowy curtains. I really like it - now if we just had some carpet.

Decided to clean and organize my scraproom - what else is there to do since I'm not birthing a baby?? Finally hung up my diploma from college, it's been sitting on the floor collecting dust.
Doesn't really look like it, but it's much better I promise.
Moved all my ribbon/flower jars to the table so I can see them all. Love!
Went through all my old scrap mags and am giving away 3 bags full and then the other stuff is either give away or give back - no Heather I'm not giving away your cricut fonts, but figured now that you have your own fancy room you'll be needing these.
Oh and FINALLY hung up the bulletin board squares (under the black shelf) for ideas and inspiration, which required moving junk so there was room to see them.
AND Heather was with me when I just HAD to have this old wooden bing thing and she told me to use it to hold chipboard so I finally organized all that. My letters and numbers are still in a bag but this works really well for the other goodies.
OK then a video I found on Dooce's blog that made me laugh so hard. (Girls, this is the 1st video I sent NOT the 2nd silly one.) oh and you'll have to ignore any SP mistaces my speell chek doesn'tn seam to bee woking latelie.

The room looks great!! Between you and Heather I'm really feeling the urge to get my stuff organized. Maybe I should hire the two of you out to get me set up!
I am so sorry you guys had to deal with water in your basement!! That is the worst!
Holy moly. Where to start...
Basement...sucks. Drum is totally cool though.
THe dresser looks great. The frog album looks awesome in there and I can see the rubons on the frame now. SUPER cute. I'm so proud. Sniff.. ;)
I couldn't enlarge the pic of the window, but I"m sure it looks great.
Room is fabulous! The chipboard, genious. Jars, too cute. I need to get my organization finished too.
I'm sure i forgot something.
Oh.
The zebra blanket is awesome!
And where did you get the diploma in that frame? It looks really great. Mine's still in it's little book-thing.
And my wedding dress is still hanging in the closet. ;)
Yep, I was thinking yesterday that I'm glad the urge to mess up my nice, neat scrapball room hasn't hit yet, because I have NO cartridges in my Cricut right now. Don't be giving them away. How many of those other bags are coming to now collect dust at my house?
I like when I have a few genius ideas. I need some of that cork board. I have a wall of corners to decorate.
The rooms starting to look good. Wish the little thing would come on so she can see it.
Sorry about the basement.
The dresser is my favorite. Really pretty.
Hey, at least the carpet was already on its way out by the time you checked on the basement. Saved you all some work! :)
Good thing you posted that video link. Everyone needs to see that. The first one, I mean.
Shelley, our bookstore at MSU sells frames like that. Not Campbellsville frames but MSU frames. I bet you can get one at Campbellsville.
wow, that is awful that you all had to deal with the water leak.
The scrap room is great! I love the color...I'm a lavender/purple girl myself. That is one thing that will be a must when we are looking for a house...I will have a room for scrapbooking.
The baby's room looks good too. I like the album sitting on the dresser.
I love your scraproom today and I just can't get over that bedroom... LOVE that color!
