Makin' Stuff

I've been working on projects lately. So close to being caught up with my 2007 pictures that I can't stand it. I'm normally not this good, but this baby has done some good for me for sure getting me motivated to mark stuff off "the list."

The title says: Over the Edge, but it's hard to read since I used chipboard letters , but I love me some Kraft paper!! Oh and hopefully you can click on these to enlarge them but if not then trust that they are better in person. :) This is my niece and says Sweet Baby - I finally was able to use these cutie embellies that have flowers and butterflies etc. AND I printed my pics in BW with a black border and love how it makes the pics pop!
The title is Action Star - totally not my first choice for titles but I just HAD to use those letters and was limited on what I could write. Aren't you proud I didn't just go buy more letters? I am!
This is at Huber's Orchard where we went to the pumpkin patch - the boys loved it!
This is from Thanksgiving and says Thankful for Family.
These are 2 emails from Byron and Cade. They are sweetest things ever. Cade and Byron email sometimes while Byron is on duty for 48 hours. I type whatever Cade says - exactly! - like he says so it reads pretty funny sometimes and Byron is great about writing him back. Obviously I will put these under E in the album. Oh and confession: I ummm bought myself a few stocking stuffers that Byron doesn't know about and all those buttons came from there... I NEEDED them and it couldnt' wait so I stapled the package together and stuck them back int he bag - he'll never know that 30 buttons were missing. :) (Oh and I normally don't do this but everyone else gets great stockings and well not so much me... Santa occasionally forgets that I've been a good girl too so I helped him out this year. Got a few other embellies too. ) The emails read:

From Cade: "Snakes ummm garter snakes, umm rattlesnakes, and king snakes, a spotted lizard and ummm night lizard. I love you daddy - miss you. (and don't forget you mommy you love him and miss him too) "-
Translation: Daddy I remembered the names of my snakes in my book and I learned some new ones too!
Love Cade (and mommy too)

From Byron: " Hi Cade - I'm proud of you for remembering the snakes! Keep learning them and you'll be a snake expert! Remember "red then black - friend of jack, red then yellow - kill a fellow." I miss you buddy, love you!
Daddy

The other email says:
From Cade: "I didn't get no spankins and I didn't got no time outs and I love him and I didn't be a bad boy and I been a good boy - love daddy - (do you mean love Cade) - yea and love daddy too." ***yes he does sounds super hillbilly here but I promise Byron and I don't speak like that.**

From Me: "Hey he was so proud of himself and wanted to tell you - I thought it was cuter over email than the phone. We love you bunches and we are ready for you to come home - love me"

From Byron: " Daddy is so proud of you! That's MY boy! I like to hear when you've been such a good boy. Daddy will be home in the morning. Be a good sleeper and don't give mommy a hard time going to bed. Love you buddy!
Daddy

That is too cute. It'll be really funny when he starts actually typing! Miss you baby, see you in the morning. Love you bunches! "

** I just had to save those and print them - Byron is so good with him, usually better than I am.**
I have a small tree in my scraproom and I have always wanted to put handmade ornies on there and THIS year I finally did - I bought these plain glass ornaments really cheap one year after Christmas and am just now doing something with them. These are kind of Ali inspired but they work. I realized that I didn't have any Christmas word rub-ons and just went with what I had. Not sure on the junk inside but it works for this year. Hey, at least there is something on my tree!
I then turned my Little Travelers into ornies as well. I have quite the town collection of them now and I did them ALL, but these are two. These are just wire and sparkly white beads.
Then this idea came from my sis in law. We made the one the left together awhile back and I got all into it and even bought beads that matched my scraproom and well then it sat in a drawer until this year - the year of getting all things DONE!! So I made the one on the right this year and finally hung it up. I used cookie cutters to make the star outline and then 2 different gauges of wire and then any beads will work. It's pretty easy and fun to do while watching a show - NOT that I've seen last weeks Grey's since my over the weekend and then I will just have December pics to do! AND, then one year my sis in law showed me how to make wire ornies with beads and so I got really into that for well the one star on the left and even used colors that match my scraproomstinkin tivo didn't tape the voices just the music - how does that happen!?!?!!? Which then didn't allow for me to watch last night's (not even sure if it was on.) Anyway... fun project for any show. And i think that is all I've made lately. Going to crank out a few more LO's this weekend. Heather plans to come over Sunday to scrap! WOHOO!! And for those of you who are behind and being a hater right now... remember that I am due in Feb so it's all going to be downhill from here... I'll be super behind for ummm the next what 18 years or something....
