Today (well 2 weeks ago really)

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.
Mark Twain

I came across this quote today ( well actually almost 2 weeks ago when I started this post) on Lacy's blog. It is very fitting for today, since we put our house up for sale this afternoon. We are not sure of what's next IF the house sells. Our house was built in the 1961 by Byron's grandfather and uncles. It is in great condition, but needs a lot of updating hence the big IF it sells. We do not have the money to put into fixing it up besides just some minor work here and there to help it hopefully sell better. It's hard to let it go to a stranger, but we feel this is the right thing to do IF it's in God's plans. I am at peace at listing the house, but we are still unsure of what is to come. Last week Byron had an interview with a fire department in Alaska. We have talked a lot about moving and going for some adventure. We both tend to get antsy and enjoy going to new places. I always say my max somewhere is 3 yrs and we've been here 4. Ha Ha. Anyway... back to the AK job... the interview went well and they told him he is at the top of the list if and when we are ready to move there. We have the Chief's number and are supposed to call when the house sells. If they have an opening then we are welcome to move there. They have 2 openings coming so... we'll see if this all times out right. If we sell the house and no openings then that is ok. It's a great house but not the location we are really dreaming up. OR we may just end up here... no telling... stay tuned. We have done a lot of cleaning up, de-junking and some minor improvements around the house. Here are some recent pics. I am loving the new look in the kitchen and living room.

Everything looks great! Nice job!! What did you end up doing for the backsplash in the kitchen? It's hard to tell from the pics.
