1st Day of Kindergarten
Tuesday was Cade's first day of Kindergarten. I didn't take near the pics I had planned, but maybe because we were too busy actually working....(Now that I think about it I sure wish I had Byron take a pic of us upstairs in our "school room" - bummer) We started the day off with a pancake breakfast that Byron made. He made Cade a special one with sprinkles in the shape of a "C". We then took pictures outside. I plan to take one of him alone and one with Cory too at the end of the year. (I may not be actually scrapping lately, but I am still taking the pics like I am!) We also did a fun questionnaire with things like his height (45") and his weight (43 lbs) and info like his friend's names, what he wants to learn about etc. I plan to do one similar to it on the last day of school. OH and I allowed him to choose his favorite shirt to wear too (yes that's a big deal lately... he's got such an opinion on everything!)

These are Cade's (very dirty and much loved) "crooks." Byron's mom got him the jibbitz to go in them and are they not a perfect reflection of his personality- she said she tried to get him a guitar too but they were out) - He was ecstatic.
Along with reading, Five in a Row, handwriting, math, shark study and several other geography and poetry things we were able to do a science experiment that had to do with the book we will be reading all week (The Gardener) We are waiting to see what happens to the flowers. He did good memorizing the parts of a plant as well. I was surprised we were able to accomplish as much as we did in about 3 1/2 hours. He told me at the end of the day that he had fun! That was good to hear....
