Thankful....

It's taken me forever to get this post together because of the pictures... uggg... just too many to go through. Anyway, I've given up on making this some sort of fancy post so here are some pics with my list of Thankfuls. I'm just feeling really blessed right now. These are in no particular order -just how the computer chose to upload them.

Thankful for a little boy who is so crazy about his sister. He gave her the pink bear to match his and is always wanting to make sure she has it when she's sleeping. And to think I was worried about how much he would like her. Just yesterday he came over and gave me and her kisses and said "I love you girls." Awww melt me!
Thankful for this little sweet face and the fact that she is so easy to get along with - for NOW at least.... hoping it lasts. ;)
Thankful for awesome weather we had today. So we made a trip to the zoo. It was actually Byron's first time to the zoo with us (sad, I know) and Cade managed to not go at all in 2007 (except for at Halloween) so he was thrilled to be going and with Daddy at that. Along Daddy lines- I am so thankful for a husband that just KNOWS how to be a great Dad and husband. (I thank his parents really, he was just raised with an awesome example.) Anyway, I couldn't do all this without him. Some sweet things he has said that I don't want to forget -
"I just realized I get to build a dollhouse!" - He was so excited about this revelation.
"I just love how she smells." - awww
He is just so sweet with both the kids and has been great help to me. I don't think he reads this but if he does - I Love you !!

Thankful for my new family! It's amazing how it DOES just feel right (girls you were right). For so long I didn't think I needed another child and God was right (of course) and I did. Then, I really didn't think I needed a girl and yet again... He knew what He was doing.
Thankful for generations of good women - My grandmother, my mother, Me and Corynn
Another zoo pic.... thankful Cade wasn't scared to go in the petting zoo part and he was actually a blast to be with at the zoo. Can you believe he walked the entire time (well with a few shoulder rides from Daddy, but NO whining!!) ???
Thankful for this awesome scrapbook store in town (well it's closed now but, it WAS great) Corynn and I made it in for her FIRST store and a scrappy one at that. My goodies are somewhere below. (I tried to turn this blasted pic and it wouldn't let me.)

Thankful for Rock Band - our family's newest addiction. Cory D is the audience and we are so awesome that we put her to sleep (with a grumpy face of course)!
Thankful for my silly family - our band name is The Jammies.
Thankful for great friends near and far. Thanks for all the advice, love, and even special gifts in the mail (Thanks Kristen for the scrappy goodies! I totally love them.) OH and another thankful - I have even scrapped a layout the other day! I don't have pics printed yet of the baby, so I just had my mom's bday party to do, but at least that is done. And along the lines of friends - I HAVE been reading all of your blogs still - just not commenting. I tend to get a little backlogged and then have too many posts to comment on so, just know I am reading and thinking about all of you.
OK back to the scrapbook store - they upped their sale to 50% off so here is what I got this time around. I can't wait to use the mini albums (my grl and my man) for something special - just not sure what yet. And yet again another pic I couldn't turn....

There are several other things I am thankful for but I don't have pics to post:
- a great supportive family on both sides
-how good I have been feeling - such an improvement over Cade's birth
-the good sleep that I DO get - much better than preggo sleep
-still 6 days off work! (trying really hard to be positive about the daycare kids coming back - how about a paycheck again!)
-AND probably the thing I was the most stressed about was what I call the Boobie Battle - I tried to breastfeed Cade and did not have an easy time and eventually we just used bottles - I am proud to say that I believe I have WON the Boobie Battle this time! She is nursing and gaining weight. We have our first doctor's appt tomorrow to see how she's done in the last week, but on 2/25 she weighed 7lbs - 4oz and on 2/27 she weighed 7lbs - 11oz so I'm assuming since she is so content that she has continued to gain - which equals a WIN in my book!!

Thanks for all YOUR love and support!

It is good to see you all are doing so well. It was like that for me too. Everything was better/easier the second time around. It is so good to hear you are winning the boobie battle, good for you and Corynn!! I like the band name, The Jammies, too cute :o). Kenny and my bro-n-law created a band called Who Farted...they got the biggest kick out of it (as I roll my eyes :o)). Anyway, I know it has to be a relief to see how well everyone is easing into the expanded family size. May God continue to send blessings your way!

I'm so glad Corynn is fitting in so well. She's just a little doll.

And you look happier and sound like you're in SUCH a better mood than you were those last few weeks! :)
