Where do the days go?

Already Wednesday ummm I mean Thursday now!! - not that I'm complaining I have a lot to look forward to this weekend, but man... I started a post on Monday and just had to trash it. Thank you to all of you who participated in the Freckled Nest contest and thanks for all the nice comments!! So what's been going on?? We went to a festival here in town last Friday and Cade was able to see hot air balloons up close and personal. Not that he would have anything to do with them, but at least I was able to get some pics. Here are my boys watching them go up.





I have also been put on the task of listing purses on etsy for a la mode. These are some of our one of a kinds and not part of our current fabric line. I will be getting more soon to list as well. This is my current favorite style. I have one with panther flame (AKA wild woman) fabric on it and love it!!





(I obviously have issues with getting these pics on here) Here is another fave of the balloon glow. One of my dreams is to go somewhere in a hot air balloon someday. When I was a kid I went up and down tied to the ground not very thrilling at all. wooo!



Way back on Saturday a package arrived from Tania. She has been so sweet to me and just out of the blue decided to send me a little package. She is trying to help me meet that goal of reading more books. **Tania - I'm taking it with me to Gatlinburg, TN this weekend and plan to finish it while down there.**



Cade decided a few months ago that he wanted a garden (I think the idea came from a book since we are so far from the garden type people.) Since he loves tomatoes so much him and daddy decided that was the best thing to plant so we have regular tomatoes and cherry ones too. They tried for a pumpkin but it didn't make it. **Just in case those of you know about my black thumb - I have stayed far away from these plants and I'd imagine that's why they have survived as long as they have. He was thrilled to pick the first tomato!! He even had a little surprise on one of the leaves - a baby frog - it was too cute, about the size of a cherry tomato and I tried to get a pic and it just wasn't working. Oh well he knew it was there. Oh the simple things in life - like the BOX that the McDonalds toy came in. He loves that thing and when he showed Byron his new toy it was more about the fact that it came with a box than the toy itself. OH to be 3 (almost 4) again!

Well, we are off to Gatlinburg for the Labor Day weekend tomorrow and will be back late Monday. I'm ready for a break, time with family, a little sleeping in (hopefully), some shopping at the great scrapbook store, some reading, and of course good eating..... I'm sure I'll have tons of pics to post when we return.
